How to Use Variants of Products

What is a Product Variant?

  • A Product Variant represents different attributes of a product, such as size, color, or material.
  • Example: A clothing store selling the same shirt in 2 colors (Black, White) and 3 sizes (Small, Medium, Large). Each combination can have its own stock and pricing.
  • SalesPlay POS allows multiple variations per product, including size, color, and material.
  • Special Note: To create a variant product, you must create it as a new product. You cannot convert an existing product into a variant by editing it.

Steps to Add Product Variants

  1. Login to POS Back Office > Select “Products” from main menu
  2. Go to the “Product List” > Click “Add Product” button
    • Enter the product name, regular unit price, and other details.
  3. Tick ON “Variant Product” section
  4. Click “Add Variants”
  5. Enter attribute name (e.g., Size, Color) > Enter different names of attributes (e.g., Red, Black, Small, Medium, Large)
    • If variants have barcodes or stock, enter those details.
    • Click “Save” to finalize.
  6. Apply different prices for the variants
