The “Adjust Quantity Based on Price” feature in SalesPlay POS allows users to sell products based on a total price rather than a fixed quantity. This is ideal for businesses where customers often have a budget in mind instead of a specific quantity.
Example Scenario
Product: Cashew nuts
Unit Price: US$ 0.12 per gram
Customer’s Requested Amount: US$ 10
Total Quantity Calculation:
Total Quantity = US$ 10 ÷ US$ 0.12 ≈ 83.33 grams
- The user inputs US$ 10.
- The system automatically calculates the quantity: 83.33 grams.
Instead of specifying the quantity, the user inputs the total amount the customer is willing to pay. The system then calculates the appropriate quantity based on the product’s unit price. In this example, for US$ 10, the customer receives approximately 83.33 grams of Cashew nuts.
