Prerequisites
Before beginning the setup in SalesPlay, ensure you have:
- An active SalesPlay POS Back Office admin account.
- An active Uber Eats Merchant Account.
- Access to the Uber Eats Developer Portal (developer.uber.com) to create an API application.
Step 1: Enable Uber Eats in SalesPlay Back Office
- Log in to your SalesPlay POS Back Office Web Portal.
- Select Integrations from the main menu.
- Locate Uber Eats and toggle/tick ON to enable the module.
- Click Save.(Once enabled, Uber Eats will appear as a sub-menu under the Integration Apps section).
Step 2: Retrieve Redirect and Webhook URLs
To connect SalesPlay with Uber Eats securely, you must generate and copy your unique URLs:
- Under the Integration Apps section, select Uber Eats.
- Click on “Redirect URL” and copy the link. Paste it into a temporary text file (Notepad or TextEdit), as you will need it shortly.
- Click on “Webhook URL” and copy the link. Paste this into the same text file.
Step 3: Create an App in the Uber Eats Developer Portal
To obtain your API credentials:
- Open a web browser and go to the Uber Eats Developer Portal.
- Register a new developer account or sign in with your Uber Eats credentials.
- Create a new app within the portal.
- When prompted during the app creation process, paste the Redirect URL and Webhook URL that you saved in Step 2 into their respective configuration fields.
- Once the app is created, copy your generated Client ID and Client Secret.
Step 4: Link Your Uber Eats Store to SalesPlay
- Return to your SalesPlay Back Office and navigate back to the Uber Eats Integration page.
- Click on “Add Uber Eats store”.
- Enter your Client ID (retrieved from the Uber Eats Developer Portal).
- Enter your Client Secret (retrieved from the Uber Eats Developer Portal).
- Click “Load Uber Eats Store” to complete the synchronization and link your store locations.
