O’mari is a mobile payment solution that enables businesses in Zimbabwe using SalesPlay POS to accept secure digital payments directly from their customers. With the O’mari integration, merchants can process customer payments quickly and seamlessly from the POS, improving the checkout experience while reducing the need for cash transactions.
By integrating O’mari with SalesPlay POS, merchants can securely accept O’mari payments directly from the POS system, providing a fast and seamless payment experience.
Before You Begin
Ensure you have:
- A SalesPlay account
- An active O’mari merchant account
Step 1: Configure O’mari in SalesPlay Back Office
- Log in to the SalesPlay Back Office.
- Go to Settings → Features.
- Locate Payment Gateways.
- Enable the feature and click Save.
Note: Once enabled, a new Payment Gateways menu will appear under Settings.
- Go to Settings → Payment Gateways.
- Click Add Payment Gateway.
- Select O’mari Payments.
- Enter the following details:
- Device Name
- API Key
- API Secret
- Currency
- Target Terminal
- Make sure the Status is ON.
- Click Save.
Your O’mari payment gateway is now configured.
Step 2: Assign O’mari to a Payment Type
- Go to Settings → Payment Types.
- Open an existing payment type (such as Card) or create a new one.
- Enable Payment Gateway.
- Select O’mari from the Payment Gateway drop-down list.
- Click Update.
Your payment type is now linked to O’mari.
Step 3: Enable O’mari on SalesPlay POS
- Open the SalesPlay POS application.
- Sign in with your POS account.
- Go to Settings → Payment Gateway.
- Enable O’mari.
- SalesPlay POS will automatically download the payment gateway configuration from the Back Office.
Your POS is now ready to accept O’mari payments.
Step 4: Process an O’mari Payment
To verify the integration:
- Create a new sale in SalesPlay POS.
- Tap Charge.
- Select the payment type linked to O’mari.
- Enter the customer’s registered O’mari mobile number.
- Tap OK.
- The payment request will be sent to the customer’s O’mari account.
- Ask the customer to authorize the payment on their mobile device.
- Once the payment is approved, the transaction will be completed automatically and a receipt can be printed.
Troubleshooting
If O’mari payments are not working, verify the following:
- The Payment Gateways feature is enabled in the Back Office.
- The API Key and API Secret are correct.
- The payment gateway Status is ON.
- The payment type is linked to O’mari.
- The POS has synchronized the latest payment gateway settings.
- The customer entered the correct O’mari registered mobile number.
- The merchant terminal is active and connected to the internet.
