What is the Favorite Product Feature?
The Favorite Products feature in the SalesPlay POS App allows you to mark frequently sold items for quick access during billing.
Marked products appear under a dedicated Favorite category in the main sales screen, helping cashiers complete transactions faster.
⚠️ Important: The Favorite Products feature is available only in portrait mode.
If you are using landscape mode, you can use the advanced
Customize Sale Screen feature instead (available only in landscape mode).

Why Use the Favorite Product Feature?
- Speeds up transactions in busy retail and restaurant environments
- Organizes frequently sold products in one place
- Reduces billing errors caused by searching through multiple categories
- Improves overall checkout efficiency
Practical Example
In a busy restaurant with categories like Appetizers, Main Courses, Beverages, and Desserts,
the cashier can add popular dishes to the Favorite category.
This reduces customer waiting time and ensures smoother operations during peak hours.
How to Add a Product to the Favorite Category
- Open the SalesPlay POS App.
- Go to Main Menu → New Sale.
- Find the product you want to mark as favorite.
- Click the Product Information button (the “i” icon next to the price).
- Tap the heart icon.
- The heart icon will turn red, indicating the product is now marked as a favorite.
- The product will appear under the Favorite category for quick access.
How to Remove a Product from the Favorite Category
- Open the SalesPlay POS App.
- Go to New Sale.
- Navigate to the Favorite category.
- Click the Product Information button.
- Tap the red heart icon to unmark the product.
- The product will be removed from the Favorite category.
How to Rearrange Products in the Favorite Category
- Open the SalesPlay POS App.
- Go to Main Menu → New Sale.
- Select the Favorite category.
- Click the Edit Product Position button at the bottom.
- A list of favorite products will appear with a burger icon (≡) on the right.
- Long-press and drag the product (or the burger icon) to reposition it.
- Click Done to save the changes.
Special Note
In the Simple Grid layout, the information (i) icon is not visible.
To use the Favorite feature:
- Temporarily switch to Grid or List layout.
- Mark your favorite products.
- Switch back to Simple Grid if preferred.
