How to Set Up the Linkly Payment Gateway

Use the Linkly payment gateway to accept card payments directly from your SalesPlay POS.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • Back Office administrator access.
  • Your Linkly username and password.
  • The device name for your Linkly terminal.
  • The correct environment (Sandbox or Production).
  • The Pair PIN displayed on your Linkly payment terminal.
  • The POS terminal that will use Linkly.

Step 1: Add Linkly in Back Office

  1. Sign in to SalesPlay Back Office.
  2. Go to Settings > Features >
  3. Enable Payment Gateways and click Save
  4. Now Payment Gateways will appear in the Settings section
  5. Click Payment Gateways and then click Add Payment Gateway.
  6. Select Linkly from the Payment Gateway list.
  7. Enter the required information:
  • Device Name – A name for your payment terminal.
  • Environment – Select Sandbox for testing or Production for live transactions.
  • Username – Your Linkly username.
  • Password – Your Linkly password.
  • Merchant Receipt Auto Print – Enable if you want receipts to print automatically.
  • Target Terminals – Select the POS terminal(s) that will use Linkly.
  • Status – Keep this enabled.
  • Terminal PIN – Enter the Pair PIN shown on your payment terminal.

8. Click Save.


Step 2: Enable Linkly for Card Payments

  1. Go to Settings > Payment Types.
  2. Open the Card payment type.
  3. Turn on Payment Gateway Enable.
  4. Select Linkly as the payment gateway.
  5. Click Update.

Your Card payment type is now connected to Linkly.


Step 3: Check the POS App

  1. Open the SalesPlay POS App.
  2. Go to Settings > Payment Gateway.
  3. Make sure the Linkly gateway appears in the list.
  4. If it is not available, add it and enable the Status.
  5. Save your changes.

Process a Card Payment

  1. Open New Sale.
  2. Add the items to the sale.
  3. Click Charge.
  4. Select Card as the payment method.
  5. The payment request is sent to the Linkly terminal.
  6. The customer taps, inserts, or swipes their card and follows the instructions on the terminal.
  7. Once approved, the sale is completed and a receipt is generated.
  8. If the payment is declined or cancelled, select Retry or Cancel.

Check Your Setup

Before using Linkly, make sure:

  • ✅ Linkly is added in Payment Gateways.
  • ✅ The gateway is Enabled.
  • ✅ The correct POS terminal is assigned.
  • ✅ The Card payment type is linked to Linkly.
  • ✅ Linkly is enabled in the POS app.

It is recommended to perform a test transaction after completing the setup.


Troubleshooting

ProblemSolution
Linkly is not shown in the POS appCheck that the gateway is enabled and assigned to the correct POS terminal.
Card payments do not use LinklyMake sure the Card payment type has Payment Gateway Enable turned on and Linkly is selected.
Pairing failsVerify the Pair PIN and ensure the payment terminal is online.
Merchant receipt does not printCheck that Merchant Receipt Auto Print is enabled and the printer is working.
Testing is not workingUse the Sandbox environment for testing and Production only with live credentials.
