We’re excited to introduce a brand-new Payment Interface in the 115.5 version of the SalesPlay POS App! Based on user feedback, the payment process has been redesigned to be faster, smarter, and more user-friendly.
This update reduces manual steps, such as entering currency notes, by adding easy-to-use currency buttons. The system also intelligently suggests payment values and settlement options, saving time during checkout.
What’s New in the Payment Interface?
- Payment Type Placement:
- Before: Payment types were at the top section.
- Now: Default payment type appears on the right-hand side for easier access; other payment types appear below the currency notes section.
Note: Applies to landscape mode only. In portrait mode, currency notes and alternative options are displayed below.
Country-Specific Currency Note Options
The system automatically displays currency denominations based on the registered country (e.g., 10, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, 5000 notes), speeding up cash transactions.
Example: For a bill of 400, suggested currency notes may include:
- 500
- 1000
Note: Landscape mode only. Portrait mode displays default and other payment types below.
Add New Currency Notes and Coins
You can add newly issued or unlisted currency notes and coins to the system.
Steps to add currency notes or coins:
- Log in to the SalesPlay POS BackOffice web portal.
- Navigate to Settings > Currency.
- Select the Primary currency.
- Add the new note or coin and press ENTER.
- Click Update.
Note: You can add up to 10 notes or coins.
Alternative Settlement Options
The system calculates and displays nearest alternative settlement amounts based on available coins and notes.
Example: For a bill amount of 140, suggested settlement options could include:
- 150
- 200
- 500
- 1000
Ensure relevant coins and notes are added (e.g., coins of 5 and notes of 10, 20, 50). The system may combine coins and notes or suggest either depending on availability.
One-Tap Payment with Optional Confirmation
Tapping a suggested currency value processes the payment automatically. For confirmation before finalizing, enable Double Confirmation:
Steps to enable Double Confirmation:
- Log in to the BackOffice portal.
- Navigate to Settings > Payment Types.
- Select the payment method (e.g., Cash).
- Check Double Confirmation.
- Click Update.
This setting applies to all payment types: Cash, Card, Credit, and Cheque.
Multi-Payment Handling via the SPLIT Feature
The previous “Multi Payment” button has been replaced with the SPLIT feature for easier multi-payment processing.
How to use SPLIT:
- Open the SalesPlay POS App.
- Add products to the cart.
- Click CHARGE.
- Tap SPLIT at the top-right.
- Select the first payment type and enter the amount, click CHARGE.
- Click CONTINUE.
- Select the second payment type, enter amount, click CHARGE.
- Click DONE to complete the transaction.
Improved Alternative Currency Handling
- New Placement: Alternative currencies now display on the left-hand side (previously on the right).
- Enhanced Visuals: Clear currency symbols and suggested settlement values enable faster payments.
