Uber Eats POS Integration syncs orders directly to the POS and kitchen in real time, reducing manual work and improving order accuracy. Follow this step-by-step guide to connect your Uber Eats merchant account with your SalesPlay Back Office.

Prerequisites

Before beginning the setup in SalesPlay, ensure you have:

  • An active SalesPlay POS Back Office admin account.
  • An active Uber Eats Merchant Account.
  • Access to the Uber Eats Developer Portal (developer.uber.com) to create an API application.

Step 1: Enable Uber Eats in SalesPlay Back Office

  1. Log in to your SalesPlay POS Back Office Web Portal.
  2. Select Integrations from the main menu.
  3. Locate Uber Eats and toggle/tick ON to enable the module.
  4. Click Save.(Once enabled, Uber Eats will appear as a sub-menu under the Integration Apps section).

Step 2: Retrieve Redirect and Webhook URLs

To connect SalesPlay with Uber Eats securely, you must generate and copy your unique URLs:

  1. Under the Integration Apps section, select Uber Eats.
  2. Click on “Redirect URL” and copy the link. Paste it into a temporary text file (Notepad or TextEdit), as you will need it shortly.
  3. Click on “Webhook URL” and copy the link. Paste this into the same text file.

Step 3: Create an App in the Uber Eats Developer Portal

To obtain your API credentials:

  1. Open a web browser and go to the Uber Eats Developer Portal.
  2. Register a new developer account or sign in with your Uber Eats credentials.
  3. Create a new app within the portal.
  4. When prompted during the app creation process, paste the Redirect URL and Webhook URL that you saved in Step 2 into their respective configuration fields.
  5. Once the app is created, copy your generated Client ID and Client Secret.

Step 4: Link Your Uber Eats Store to SalesPlay

  1. Return to your SalesPlay Back Office and navigate back to the Uber Eats Integration page.
  2. Click on “Add Uber Eats store”.
  3. Enter your Client ID (retrieved from the Uber Eats Developer Portal).
  4. Enter your Client Secret (retrieved from the Uber Eats Developer Portal).
  5. Click “Load Uber Eats Store” to complete the synchronization and link your store locations.

Troubleshooting & Best Practices

  • Connection Errors? Double-check that the Redirect and Webhook URLs pasted into the Uber Eats Developer portal match your SalesPlay back office exactly with no extra spaces.
  • Store Not Loading? Ensure your Uber Eats merchant account is fully active and verified before attempting to load stores via the Client ID and Client Secret.
