The Business Hours feature lets you generate reports based on your actual operating hours instead of the standard calendar day. This is especially useful for restaurants, cafés, bars, and other businesses that operate past midnight.

For example, if your business operates from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM, all sales during this period can be counted as one business day instead of being split across two calendar days.

Set Up Business Hours

Go to Settings → Software Setup, select the required shop, and set the Business Start Time and Business End Time. If different shops have different operating hours, uncheck Apply to all shops before setting the hours. Click Update to save your settings.

Viewing Cash Rounding Figures

Under Cash rounding, you will see the relevant figures for your sales transactions.

Rounding Options in SalesPlay POS

SalesPlay POS provides two types of rounding:

  1. Rounding: Automatically rounds the bill total to the nearest multiple of the smallest denomination, which may be higher or lower than the unrounded total.Example: Total bill = $9.90 → Rounded total = $10. The system handles this automatically and prints the rounded amount on the receipt.
  2. Manual Rounding: Allows the user to adjust the total to any desired value. Useful when taxes, discounts, or special business rules require a specific total.Example: Item Price = $100, Tax = 10%, Discount = 15%, Total = $93.50 → User rounds manually to $93.Also useful for countries with three-decimal financial transactions, such as Bahrain.
